Pumpkin

our ugly-cute pumpkin

The brush covered our yard

Once removed we could see

A garden was there all along

Fresh and bright, sowing seeds

The garden grew giant pumpkins

A vegetation that holds guard

Pumpkins are grounded and sturdy

They hold space for rest and recharge

The great pumpkin - a Cinderella story

Transforming softly into our next life

Glittering chimes and glowing wings

Integrous living and less strife

A strong symbol, a thick skin

Colors of the earth and safe against the wind

Our great pumpkin, cute with blemishes to see

It’s a garden growing - even for the unseen
